Bengal Ornamental, Poecilotherias are my all time favorite genus of tarantulas, hailing from India and Sri Lanka. Poecilotheria are known to be on the more skittish side and having a low tolerance for light or vibrations. Id like to contest this, they are shy and skittish but I often see mine out on display anytime of day sun basking, they do not seem to mind the light, or when I play loud music during feedings. Be aware that these technically have medically significant venom, but will not cause fatality like some medically significant scorpions do.
